The choir were joined by Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir, singing as one choir, with guests Simeon Wood and Sian Voller. The concert was compered by Roger Bingham.
The joint choir started the concert by singing 3 pieces, commencing with "The Song of the Jolly Roger" by Candish, "In Saint Paul's" by Warrell, and concluding this section with "When the Saints go marchin' in" arranged by Hood. Simeon then demonstrated his amazing skills on a number of wind instruments, playing 5 pieces including "Annie's Song by Denver, "Typewriter Song" by Anderson, and concluding with "Gabriel's Oboe Theme" by Morricone. Sian then sang two pieces - "Chanson Triste" by Duparc and "Die junge Nonne" by Schubert. The joint choir returned to complete the first part of the concert by singing 2 more pieces - "Balm in Gilead" arranged by Humphreys, and "Medley from 'Phantom of the Opera'" by Lloyd Webber arranged by Wiltshire.
Sian in actionAfter the interval, the choir took to the stage again to sing 3 more pieces - "African Trilogy" arranged by Arch, "Sanctus" by Schubert, and "Can you feel the love tonight" by Elton John. Simeon returned to play 5 more pieces including "Skye Boat Song", "Moon River" by Mancini, and finished with "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles" by The Proclaimers. During this section, he also managed to play an NHS Walking Stick - quite remarkable. Sian returned to sing another 2 pieces - "Ae fond kiss" arranged by Moffat and "Waldgesprach" by Schumann. The choir then returned to finish the concert with 3 pieces - "The Lord's Prayer" by Malotte arranged by Deis, "The Lost Chord" by Sullivan arranged by Simmons, and "American Trilogy" arranged by Humphreys.
