This concert took place at Millhouses Methodist Church, Millhouses Lane on 4th July to help raise funds for the Friends of the Rowan School. The concert commenced at 7:30pm. Our guest was recorder virtuoso Anna Bradburn.
The choir began the concert by singing 3 pieces, starting with "A Cole Porter Medley", and finishing with "Love, could I only tell thee". Anna then played pieces using 3 different types of recorder - She began the section with "Czardas" by Monti, and finsihed with Vivaldi's "Allegro Molto from Concerto in C major" The Choir took to the stage to complete the first half of the concert by singing 4 more pieces including "Morte Criste" and Gwahoddiad".
After a 15 minute interval, the Choir took to the stage again to sing 4 more pieces, commencing with "Glory and Love to the Men of Old", and finishing with "Amen". Anna then played another 3 pieces - this section "Salut d'amore" by Elgar, and ended with a pice called "RFX 300" by Annette Ziegenmeyer which was played on the Electric Recorder. The concert then concluded with the choir singing 3 final pieces commencing with "Of Arms and Peaceful Men", and concluding with "Rhythm of Life"
